This book takes place just as Atticus fakes his own death. Atticus moves on to fulfill his deal with Coyote. But a lot more is involved than just the deal. The trickster Coyote got a few loop holes in the deal.
But it is the same with Leif, he works in some loop-holes that would surprise you. Will not add them because, I want you to feel the shock that I did. A friend should never have to endure what Atticus does at the hands of his friend. But just as it is in the real world, it is more so in the fictional.
His apprentice is following his instruction and learning. I love the way Kevin makes the sexual tension grow but not to an uncomfortable level but enough so that you want more. It is a very refreshing book.
I am now off to read Trapped. Looks like fun.
